Reinhard (63), Mario (36), Laurin (18) and their search for happiness on the dance floorsof Berlin. Dancing by themselves, the three are brave, free, beautiful. Dancing makes them strong and transports them into a better world - not the harsh Berlin of 2005. But when morning comes, their lives are short of glamour. Reinhard is caught between therapy groups and unhappy love. Mario is struggling to find work and not disappoint his daughters. Laurin is beautiful and confident when dancing, but canīt seem to make any love last. DANCING WITH MYSELF is our third film with Kruska and Keil. It is an immensely intimate, funny and sad chronicle of just how hard it is to be happy.
