This film tracks down a bizarre chapter of German-Tanzanian history. A Tanzanian historian is searching for the head of his grandfather and national hero, Chief Mkawa. Mkwawa was driven to death by German troops in 1898 and his head brought  to Berlin as a hunting trophy. A tongue-in-cheek non-scientific odyssey through German museums, British Archives and the African wilderness.  Filmed on location in Tanzania, Germany and UK.
