14-year-old Paula is obsessed with zombies, mutants and serial killers, a hobby which isolates her from her boy-crazy classmates. When Paula meets Jens, a 16-year-old juvenile delinquent, she thinks she has found a soul-mate at last. The two of them steal a van from the municipal pool and set off on a journey to the scene of the accident where Jens* parents died. On the way they discover highways, aliens and first love.
