text=Drama, 114 mins, UK, Germany 2005 For Father Christopher and his young teaching colleague, Joe Connor, the assassination of the President of Rwanda on April 6th 1994 seems like just another minor upheaval in the turbulent world of African politics. But within only a few hours a terrible sequence of events has unfolded as the slaughter of Rwandan Tutsis by their Hutu neighbours begins. Their school becomes a refuge for those fleeing the slaughter and seeking protection from the UN troops billeted there - promising nothing. After so many years watching Africa repeatedly descend into violence and chaos, can we be really sure that there is a God? Filmed on location in Ruanda.
